PickOne is a creative company owned and operated by James Donald. Based in Leith, James is a hand weaver who produces collections of hand-woven products for both the interiors and fashion markets.
James is primarily a weaver using Scottish based materials including lamb's wool, Shetland wool and other local sourced fibres. Through diversification he does from time to time have other related products for sale either from his website or through his physical shop, Concrete Wardrobe which he co-runs in Edinburgh.
In early 2020 he was awarded a life time achievement award by the Worshipful Company of Weavers in Glasgow for services to the weaving industry.
For a number of years, James has developed a teaching practice in weave. Currently he runs weekend weave workshops for beginners or those looking for a refresher and evening classes for more advanced weavers. He was to launch speciality classes prior to lockdown.
