NEW to the 2021 program is a very exciting collaboration between Blessed Unrest and Mairi Brown -Stitched Textiles.

A two day workshop comprising of one day print and one day sewing. The beauty of an A line skirt is that it’s flattering for all shapes, has a good size fabric are to print on and is quite an easy garment to constructs. Your individual skirt block will be pre cut to print and fit perfectly, all we’ll need beforehand is height/waist/hip measurements.

Day one will be held at OOTB Abbeymount print studio with myself, where you will learn how to screen print using photographic imagery, paper cut stencils, layered & blended colour. By exploring these experimental print techniques you'll produce samples before working on your very own finished skirt print design.

Day two will be held at OOTB Drill hall with Mairi where you’ll learn to use a sewing machine/overlocker to edge finish your skirt pieces, insert a zip, assemble the pattern pieces, insert a facing at the waist and hem the bottom skirt edge.

Designed for beginners but also perfect for anyone who has a little previous experience of any print or machine sewing.  All materials provided.
